CRUX Episode 56 - Preaching Better, Part One

No matter how good a phrase or a simile he may have, if he puts it in where it is not absolutely necessary and irreplaceable he is spoiling his work for egotism. Prose is architecture, not interior decoration, and the Baroque is over.
— Ernest Hemingway, Death in the Afternoon

Getting better at preaching is a strangely hard thing for pastors. While we all know there are weaknesses, we don’t like to admit them in public for fear of looking like we don’t know what we’re doing. In episode 56 of The Crux of the Matter, Todd and Scott discuss the book, Preaching Better, and how it may be implemented into the Ministry.
